Data Deletion
Request deletion of application-held data
Email joel@blamethewhims.com with the subject Blame the Whims Uploader — Data Deletion Request.
Please include:
- The account the request is about, such as your YouTube channel URL or the username on the platform concerned.
- The information or connection you want removed.
- A contact address where we can respond about the request.
Do not send passwords, access tokens, recovery codes or verification codes.
We may ask for reasonable verification to protect accounts and prevent unauthorized deletion. After verification, we will review the request and delete or de-identify application-held information that is no longer needed, subject to applicable legal and security obligations. Backup copies may remain until they are overwritten or expire under the normal backup process.
Revoke future access
For Google and YouTube, remove Blame the Whims Uploader at myaccount.google.com/permissions. For any other platform the tool is connected to, use that platform's Apps and Websites (or connected apps) settings. The exact labels depend on the platform.
Revoking access stops future use, but it does not necessarily delete information the tool already stored. Email the request above if you also want those records removed.
Published videos and posts are separate
Disconnecting the tool or deleting its records does not automatically delete videos or posts that were already published. Identify any published content you want reviewed separately. Changes to public content require verification that the requester has authority over the account.
